The purpose of this review is to garner an overview of the different pathophysiological mechanisms indicated in the development of IBS and the associated sequalae on gut microbiota alongside its role in the GBA. Moreover, we aim to provide an insight into the possibility of utilizing personalized medicine when managing said affected populations. |
