Abstract Celiac disease (CD) is an immune-mediated gastrointestinal disorder that is relatively common in children. This paper describes the variety of clinical signs and symptoms associated with CD and provides current recommendations for the evaluation of CD and its co-morbidities and complications. The paper makes recommendations for a collaborative approach to care facilitated by primary care clinicians and pediatric gastroenterologists. |
