Brian P. Bosworth, MD, joined the NYU Langone Medical Center as its new chief of medicine on February 1, 2016. In addition to his role as chief of medicine, Dr. Bosworth also has a clinical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Bosworth graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in Classics from Princeton University in 1995 and earned his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999. He completed his internship and residency at New York-Presbyterian: Columbia University Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Bosworth has been the recipient of numerous honors, including several teaching and clinical scholarship awards.
